Cannot connect ring doorbell or printer to my new EE router despite getting An EE booster to improve signal. TV and internet freeze/crash. This seems a very inferior system to the BT equipment I had. Other than leaving EE what can I do next?

@Annyay It's hard to say, my ring camera connected to the New EE Smarthub+ with no issues but i changed all the router settings to match the old router before i started as wanted quick change over. It is not apples to apples with the different equipment, and when devices struggle to connect then the one or two options generally get it going. Glad you are up and running. And thanks for posting back.👍

@Annyay If you still have the BT equipment then use that, both are compatible.

I was told I had to return it or would be charged for it.

@Annyay Do you still have the BT Router at present or is it on its way back?

@Annyay Do you have the ability to login to the router to make changes to some of the settings, if so then i can advise what to try!

I’ve not been able to connect TV and Broadband to my mobile contract on the EE app either. Would I need to be on the app to make changes?

@Annyay Do you perhaps have a pc/laptop that is connected to the router, or are you only a mobile user!  And what type of router do you have, is it the new EE Smarthub+?

Yes It’s the smart hub and I have a laptop.

@Annyay You will need the card from the router it has the details for admin password that you will need. On laptop open browser and type 192.168.1.254, this will open up the router web manager interface, then go to advanced settings, select wireless and it will ask for your ADMIN password, enter that then you will be able to manage your settings. Look for the security type, change it to wpa2 - personal, you may also have to switch of the 5Ghz wireless, this is only TEMP until you get the device connected, select SAVE to apply the change, it may ask to reboot the router if it does then do so. Try now to reconnect your Ring doorbell or the TV to the wireless connection. I will watch out for you reply. If not sure ask questions...
