My phone says it's being blocked by my service provider.

How do I stop it blocking WhatsApp?

Have you tried resetting the router and phone?

Has it ever worked or is this a recent problem?

And which phone do you have?

Yeah past couple of weeks, it a Samsung fold , was okay when I first set them both up

If refuses to send messages and kicks out video, then a message comes up that it's using mobile data as the provider is blocking WhatsApp

Have you tried deleting and redownloading the WhatsApp app, @Dukester?

@Dukester - does WhatsApp work on mobile data, and where did you purchase the phone from?

Yeah works fine everywhere except on my home broadband, it says using mobile data due to being blockedRegardsPaul Duke

Hi @Dukester

Does the same happen when connected to any other WiFi network?

Leanne.

Very odd. I assume you haven't set-up any access controls within the EE router that might be blocking things?

I doubt it, but you're not using a VPN or anything like that either are you when at home?

Shot in the dark, but might be worth factory resetting the router if you haven't already by inserting something into the pinhole at the rear of the device for 10-15 seconds or so. Another suggestion might be to power the hub off for a period of time and then power back up to see if the restriction has anything to do with the IP address you're being assigned. Can't see it TBH, but you never know.

No only home on my EE broadbandRegardsPaul Duke
