What does the 1.6Gbs ONT look like?

Hi

As I have 900Mbs at the moment from Sky I believe I may need an upgraded ONT from OP to get the 1.6Gbs.

Only ordered on Fri 17th so am expecting/hoping for a call from OP early this week. Due to go live on Mon 27th.

I just wanted to know if anyone can upload a few of ONT that will handle the 1.6Gbs.

Thanks

@JimM11

Thanks, will swap 4 & 5.

I am still on the SR203 - the SKY MAX doesn't work when you have 2 x Sky Q mini boxes so I couldn't get one.

As I understand it, that is no longer a limitation, although worth noting that the Q mesh is now nearly 10 years old and the Sky Max hub isn’t exactly covering itself in glory currently (similar to the teething problems with the Smart Hub Plus you could argue).

OH I didn't know that about the MAX.

I am going to have to stick to Sky for TV. I was going to wait for EE but seeing as you can't record on the EE Mini it is a deal breaker (as per my thread on the TV section) for mother-in-law. The workarounds will be far to complicated for her at 87.

Yes, for address reservation:

  1. Allow it to assign an IP to the device from DHCP.
  2. Open Advanced > My Network & click on device in question > Change your device settings
  3. Edit IP (last octet) to what you want it to be.
  4. Then Always use this IP address:= YES.
