I have reported this twice online and have had a technician call but still no rectification.
Social Media apps (FaceBook, LinkedIn, et al) and online game apps (Roblox, PUBGMobile, et al) stopped refreshing live feed or failed to connect to servers. They are fine on mobile data and when logging into these on laptops or tablets, or when using other WiFi networks.
Ran the speed test through the EE app; all fine. Still had the issue so ran the full test and it identified the problem as the 'home connection could be improved'. Had a callback and subsequently booked an onsite call.
Technician arrived and ran tests. Nothing wrong with the signal into the hub, then he checked WiFi coverage around the house. Noted that at the extremities there was a weak signal and we discussed the merits of various tech methods to improve this. However, issue still remains with all of the various apps.
Subsequently, I have purchased and tried to set up the mesh system (TP-Link Deco, as recommended online) to strengthen the WiFi around the home (okay near the hub and in the main living area, but worst reading by the technician was download speed of 6kbps); however, when I turn the WiFi off at the Smart Hub, still no improvement. Noticed the download/upload speed monitor in the Deco app being erratic (from 0 to high hundreds!).
This has been going on for 2 weeks now and it is starting to become a little frustrating to say the least (especially as we are timing out on a fourth mobile contract and were planning to to move to EE...it may not be worth it now!).
It is clear there is something fundamentally wrong but no-one is able to offer any clear advice of what to do next - just start the iteration again!
Anyone able to help?

@A3Diva Who recommended that you do that! The bit about your go get a mesh system set it all up and hope that it clears you fault condition if that was what you were told!

Hi @JimM11 ; the technician offered that as a solution to get the signal better broadcast around the house, the issue with the apps not running correctly he reckoned was down to the individual device (mix of iPhone 14, iPhone 15 and iPhone 16 across 3 separate mobile providers). It only occurs in the home when attached to WiFi, not Mobile Data or other WiFi connections.

@A3Diva You would be better to go start from scratch with you Deco mesh, and to say what EE Router you are using, the link below all about the EE Routers, and Deco look at how you have connected, DO NOT have it in router mode as you would be more than likely best as an AP system depending on what you have done!
