Slow broadband on most devices

I'm having an issue where most devices in my home after upgrading to 500mb speed struggle to hit 100mb wired or wireless. The main items being used are 2 phones, PS5, TV and 1 Chromecast. The PS5 and TV are hardwired but constantly buffer and 1 of the 2 phones is only capable of hitting 250mb+ speed (the phone hitting this speed is a worse phone out the 2)

Ive had engineers out and their devices show up ass 500mb+ after speed test ls so the fault isn't in the line, Ive had a new smart router sent out and the issue is the same but the issues only occured since the upgrade.

It's a strange one but any help is appreciated!

@XRaySpeX    yes, I know, why do you feel the need to point out the obvious?

Can you not think of a reason for asking the question?

Unfortunately I don't have a means of doing the wireless test to show results. My laptop speed caps at 100mb (not the best laptop)

Is there anything else I can do to show?

@Mustrum : The reason was that I couldn't tell you knew the obvious from your remark:

I would question the results. It is impossible to get the same upload speeds.

in response to OP's stating that he's getting 1000 Meg in both directions. I was just answering your Q.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP

Then please run a wired speedtest. I'm not so interested in the speed  as the shape, which that other speedtest doesn't give.

@XRaySpeX  no you weren't, you just jumped to conclusions without bothering to read the thread. The OP was claiming to get 100Mbps on upload and download, hence my reason for questioning his figures. See post three.

No, @Mustrum , you read post 3 again (as well as my post to you which quoted it, which triggered off this argy-bargy). 1000 isn't 100!
