I see many people struggling with the same issue – BT Hub won't pair to the EE app – so is there a fix?
Why do I need to use an app to modify parental controls?
When we were with BT we could manage the wifi online.

So what was the outcome?

What about them? Which EE product do you have?

See my post again. I have updated it.

@b_sch Answer's 1. NO, 2. because EE say so, 3. with EE you cannot manage online.

That is totally outrageous. I cannot pair to the app so have no control over the hub. What does one do?

@b_sch When did you change from BT to the EE service?

What BT hub do you have, most but not all BT hubs allow Parental Control without an app just log in to the hub
Browse to 192.168.1.254, log in with the Admin details on the back of the hub you should be able to change the control to either strict, moderate or off.

I have been told by EE Complaints that there is not currently, even after over 7 months any definitive fix. There are some cases where resetting hub to factory and the deleting and reinstalling EE App it has occasionally worked.
in my case as for many others it hasn’t. I don’t believe you have access to parental controls anywhere other than the EE App. I have tried but the online function refers you back to the App.
Unfortunately we are in a position of having to wait or demand a free switch to another provider ie no breaking contract fee!

@Johnpostill : Are you talking about the BT SH2, which this thread is about, or the EE SHs?
