Hi,
We are having a unusual non EE mail server pop3/IMAP time out failure, it is specific to this broadband connection and any computers using it. The email address in question works at any other location and any other broadband. Also the webmail to this account fails to connect so we suspect a routing or DNS error.
Hopefully EE are already aware of this and a resolution is underway. A line test has been completed and BT found some errors so we are hopeful this is in hand.
Thought it might be useful for others or maybe EE can pickup on this.
Thank you.

Have you checked if they allow other ports than the standard ones and tried them? Like 993 for IMAP over SSL.
Also, change your DNS settings to another non ISP one?

What is the domain?
A line test would not cover anything like routing; just your BB connection.
