Did you mean:

Landline fault being passed around the village.

We are pensioners and do not have mobile phones. There is an ancient fault on BT cable in our area. Open Reach were working opposite our home yesterday. Today our phone won't work, all you get is really load static and hurts your ears. Can't phone EE, obviously, only have lap top. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi @MrsB4,

I'm sorry to hear your landline isn't working.

Do you have a mobile phone our team could call you back on?

If you do, just text PHONE to 66033.

@MrsB4   alas you are a bit stuck between a rock and so on.

As you don't have a mobile all I can suggest is to ask to call from a neighbour, or even pop to the pub/cafe or anywhere else that has a phone and call from there. Even a EE shop if one is near?
