Internet Connection Dropping Frequently – Need Help!

I'm experiencing frequent drops with my fiber internet service, and it's becoming really frustrating. The connection is supposed to be stable, but it disconnects multiple times a day, interrupting my work and streaming. I've restarted my modem and router, checked for loose cables, and even contacted my ISP, but the issue persists. Has anyone else faced similar problems with their fiber internet? Any tips or solutions would be greatly appreciated. Could it be a problem with the provider or something on my end? Thanks in advance for your help!

@andywilsonn21 Which modem/router and what do you see on the modem or router led wise? Is it all devices at the same time? Is this a new install? what package do you have?

Thanks for replying! I'm using a Netgear Nighthawk R7000 router and a TP-Link Archer CR700 modem. The LEDs show normal (solid green) even when the drops happen. It's affecting all devices at the same time. This isn't a new install; we've had it for a year, and the issue started a few weeks ago. We're on the 1 Gbps package. Any ideas on what could be causing this or additional troubleshooting steps?

Thanks!

@andywilsonn21 What is happening at the ONT OR connection to the fibre? Who is your ISP?

It seems like the issue might be related to the ONT or the connection to the fiber. AT&T is my ISP.

@andywilsonn21   You say you contacted your ISP, and given that your are using a TP-Link Archer CR700 modem, are you a Virgin Media Customer?

I also presume you clicked the solution button by mistake.

@andywilsonn21 No problem, good luck getting help your area.👍

@andywilsonn21   you mention you have an ONT, which is a fibre modem, so why do you also need the TP-Link Archer CR700  which is a cable modem. Can you not connect the Netgear direct to the ONT?
