Install has left me with no home phone & damaged decor

I have joined this group in total desperation after failed attempts to speak to a human, Anyhow I had my fibre optic install done on 14/10/24 & (as the title states) as a result I now no longer have a working home phone, I was told when I signed up that I would have to pay £5 to keep my home phone connected which I agreed to,

Then just to top it off the install guy that only had to  drill one or two holes somehow managed to leave me with badly ripped & missing wallpaper which he tried to hide by placing the router in front of it, it's a total mess.

So does anyone on here have a phone number that doesn't lead me to a damn automated thing that only wants to check my internet connection?,

Good afternoon @froggy1958

Welcome to the EE Community, and I'm really concerned to hear about the experience you've had with your broadband installation.

Am I correct in thinking it's our new Full Fibre service that you've made the switch to here, and it was when fitting the Openreach modem (ONT) to the wall that this damage took place?
Also with your home phone, have you connected this to the port on the back of your new Hub?

Hi, I have had a phone call from EE , To what I can make of it I was given the wrong info in regards to my home phone connection & price by the canvasser that signed me up, All pretty much sorted now although I am now actually paying more rather than less than my previous provider contrary to what I was told on the doorstep,

As for the damage caused by the install guy, Nothing resolved in regards to this apart from an apology which is pretty disappointing, I would have thought they may have at least wanted to see a picture of it & decide what to do about it, so for that I am disappointed .

Thanks for explaining all of that for me, @froggy1958.

I'm glad to hear that things are partially sorted when it comes to your phone.

I totally get your concern around the damage though, and I'm going to go ahead and send you a private message so we can take a closer look into things.
