I had full fibre installed on Friday, it seems to be working fine but the alarm light on the box is always red. Can anyone tell me what this light means

@CatherineS1 Your posted picture etc, has to be approved and cleared, but in the meantime until it can be viewed, is this a home alarm system that was possibly connected up to your landline for dial up and/or monitoring, and if so did you have it checked and upgraded by your alarm company to work on the new DV system, waiting on your pic to clear. @CatherineS1   I am guessing this is a new type of ONT, at that light is not mentioned on the EE guide to ONT;s, but I found a couple of similar posts on other suppliers forum;s, and it seems if you switch off the ONT for a while, anything up to overnight, when it is switched back on it will be OK.

I will sort out the pic viewing.

Hi, no never had a home alarm system.

@CatherineS1 Copy from a talk talk post below, worth a try, other was customer had ONT replaced, and the engineer said it happens with a failed FW update to the ONT but not a worry as they seem to work ok. See below....

I had that happen a while ago, that Red Alarm LED can mean there is a Firmware Update or an issue with the Adtran Modem.

Mine stayed with the Red Alarm LED for a month, but I just asked them to come and replace it, but no rush due to the connection was fine, and they sent out an engineer a week later.

If you turn it off / rebooting the Adtran Modem, wait for 2 mins when its off before turning it back on.
