Hi all.
I'm just migrating from plusnet to EE with an engineers appointment for fibre install for May 19th. I'm getting opposite text messages on alternate days. First day suggesting everythings on track, then next day saying sorry slight delay and repeat. I just wondered if this is usual ? The router and ATA came today, so at least thats here.
Fibre has only just become available here. (rural low population area)

Both are showing different results to earlier checkers

I'm still connected to plusnet, phone and broadband . Plusnet customer services say it will continue.
Its EE who have cancelled.

The earlier checkers were BTw's. These I presumably are OR's. Only when BTw's show availability can ISPs order.

EE were adament it was available and wouldn't have been able to order if it wasn't. I'm assuming BT checker takes its information from openreach?
Is there a way of speaking to openreach ?

@Spik3y House directly opposite from me. took 1 day short off a complete year later than me to get the available Full Fibre, was up my pole but the other side off the street had a complete balls up with OR so that side was left completely isolated as yes available to all concerned until OR arrived and scratched there heads, much cross road digging/paths and gardens all dug up etc, simple poles all behind them and VM blocked the duct so OR could not put a fibre cable through, still going on back again digging up bottom off the street for those wanting connected, so LIVE Sept 2024 for all to get, i went live 15/10/24 but was supposed to be 18/9/2024 but could not agree with the third party installer for OR, later date OR did it all...
You cannot contact Openreach it really has to be EE as that is going to be your ISP, they control it all....
Pole is too far away for the cable span i would say, looks like it's just not ready to be done.

Only partly. I'm not sure exactly how it works. BTw has to decide whether to wholesale it to ISPs & that may depend on the BTw backhaul at the exchange. Usually the BTw Checker is definitive while the OR Checker isn't.
It's sort of that OR runs the cables & the h/ware while BTw controls the logic & the s/ware.
I would say that the 1st BTw result you posted on Fri @ 18:03 was the correct 1 as it shows your actual Observed ADSL speed. How exactly did you obtain that? Was it by just supplying your landline no.?

1 checker was landline 1 was address. To be honest I've lost track. I'm way past coping point with this sort of thing when it doesn't go to plan. It seems to happen with everything these days, my inbox today was littered with various retailers, and one appliance insurance, all with issues and spent 2 hours on the phone sorting it all out. B&Q delivered a water butt with broken tap, obviously a return from someone else, waiting for them to get back to me, I suppose that will be tomorrows excitement. 😖
I'm assuming without any more information from EE, plusnet will migrate us as sogea for the rest of the contract at a date of their choosing. Its just really frustrating that I'm paying £10 more than fibre a month for a 9 -11 mbs with less than half mbs for upload.
Theres no possibility of cables going underground here.

Is this worth a go ? The upload speed would include us I think

Only just! Depending on how your router is set up it might be capable of more (up to 1.3 Meg).
