Help needed -confused between BT and EE

So here's my problem. I had a full wifi/phone/TV package with BT....everything ran smoothly for 5 years until last month, when I contacted BT to say that I didn't need an extra box I had, and that I didn't need my landline anymore.

At that point, BT apparently set me up on a new contract....wifi with BT, and TV with EE.

I told the lady on the phone that I specifically did want a new TV box.  So what happens ? A new box turns up in the post with a demand to send back the old one or face a fine.

I don't want a new one. To make matters worse, we're on a long holiday on the other side of the world and there's no way I can get the box back to them before we return.

I also just received a bill from BT which was only for wifi. I've no idea if when I return I'll have TV or not, because I can't get into my EE account to see if I have the TV package that I should have. It's also very difficult to find a human to contact at EE to talk this over.

So, can anyone confirm that my TV package should have been 'seemlessly' taken over by EE ? Can anyone also advise if EE bill seperately from BT for the TV package ? And if anyone could let me know how to talk to a human at EE (even online) that would be great.

Many thanks !

@BobMahelp : EE & BT are 2 separate providers with their own products, services, accounts & billing systems. They are both separate subsidiaries of the BT Group & BT is wanting to move its consumer users for BB & mobile to EE.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone

@BobMahelp , if this is BT you are with, then you need to contact them, you can check on their website, there should be a free number, which you should be able to ring with Skype, this here is a public forum and we do not have account access or know who you are either, whether EE or BT, if this were with EE, you can see in my signature ways to contact them, for BT, you will have to look it up.

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using Skype or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.
