EE offer BT customers a worse deal?

I am currently a BT Halo customer and BT have been constantly nagging me to switch to EE so I decided to have a look.

What confuses me greatly is the deal EE offers me when I try to switch is more expensive and slower than a deal they would offer me if I was coming from any other provider.

With BT I was offered  - Full Fibre Gigabit All Rounder - 1 Gbps download speed - £77.18 per month

Switching from any other provider I could get - Busiest Home Bundle - 1.6 Gbps download speed - £64.99 per month.

@EdwinJ Aside from your cost's which is another issue, then the match like - like BT to EE, there is a current issue for BT user's migrating to the EE service, they cannot go to the 1.6Gb/s service, and your area may not be offering it, check out other isp sites that may indicate to you what is available speed wise. If you have either TV or DV then NO 1.6Gb/s at this present time, they are currently NOT working on this speed package!

The 1.6gps is definitely available for me and I have broadband only, it just seems to be a gotcha offer hoping people will switch over and pay more for a worse deal, I mean the deal they are offering is more expensive than BT and about the same speed
