EE WiFi Router - TP Link Deco M9 Mesh

Hi folks,

Can you help please , I am moving from virgin to EE 500mb Fibre broadband, I am just waiting on the kit coming , apparently BT openreach need to get the fibre to my house and there is a blockage ?

While I wait on this to be resolved , just a quick one is it possible to use my existing TP Link Deco M9 Mesh network with the router/hub they will send out? Currently my virgin router is set in modem mode to allow the TP to broadcast my mesh. Heard lots of conflicts whether this can be done with the EE Router / Hub.  Any advice much appreciated

  Thanks

Simon

You don't need the router to be run as Modem Only. As you are getting Full Fibre (FTTP) the OR ONT on the interior wall is the modem. You just connect the Mesh to that & hang the EE supplied router (after you've obtained your BB creds from it).

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.
