EE Hybrid Connect 4G

Setup the EE Smart Hub Pro and the EE Smart Hybrid Connect today.

No matter where I put the hybrid connect in the house, downstairs, upstairs, front, back, left or right, all I get is one bar in the signal display and in the EE app and OK for the 4G connection.

Thats 4.8MB download and 0.8MB upload. The best the documentation says is available is 5MB upload and 30MB down. So a long way off.

The device has connection points for aerials so I’ve added a couple of mobile antennas but no difference.

Anyone got any idea how to improve this??

@Pageaj Are you supposed to be in a Good/Excellent 4G area for EE mobile signal indoor/outdoor, i was in one off those as the coverage checker reported, but the EE signal was rubbish for anything especially indoor. If your mobile is with EE what kind of bar's do you get on it.

Downstairs inside our house is poor to ok. I usually get 2 bars on my iPhone.

Upstairs is usually good with 3 bars.

The Hybrid Connect is upstairs and right next to a windows but still 1 bar.

Dunno what to do next other than wait for the broadband to become active and then let the install engineer look at it?

@Pageaj Only thing left to try is if you have an electric extension cable, then take the unit outside, plug it in and see if it gives you all the bars in an outside setting.

I used a portable 240v power bank and took the Hybrid connect for a little wander but always within range of the Smart Hub Pro.

I waited a few minutes at each location to let things settle down signal wise and I've never got more than 1 indicator light on the unit? That's inside the house, outside front and back.

Guess I'm letting the installation engineer have a look...

@Pageaj Would be the next logical step, was expecting you to get a better signal outside at least, unless the Hybrid just thinks that the 4G signal is pretty weak where you are location wise.
