Do I need to notify my current ISP when switching to EE Full Fibre?

BellaCat

Hey folks,

Save me calling EE...I'm switching from Plusnet to EE this week, opting for fibre to premises, the deal with EE will do away with my landline (no loss nowadays) so I need to know if EE will handle the switch to their service and terminate the landline service (with Plusnet) or do I need to cancel my account with Plusnet myself?

Hope that makes sense...

thanks in advance

Cat

Hi @BellaCat  did you just sign up with EE and did you tell them about your existing PN broadband?

As EE are not taking over an existing line, but organising a new way of delivering your broadband you will probably need to cancel your PN account yourself.

It is a shame you did not go via PN,

1. they offered to transfer people to BT or EE when they did not do FTTP and waive any early termination fees..

2. Since 25th May they are able to offer FTTP to existing customers.

@Mustrum yer a wee gem, thanks.

My contracted time has just ended with PN , hence moving now.

I found the FFTP EE deal via an online dealfinder, so I'll contact PN to cancel the account now.

cheers 👍
