Just been moved over from BT to EE, keeping my old BT Smarthub and black discs. Internet working fine but cannot pair the EE app with my smarthub. Tried scanning the QR code but said cannot join network. Tried manually - connected to the WiFi but it just hangs at the pairing screen. My home network has been renamed and the password changed - is that relevant? Many thanks.

@Archwayanimal There are currently some problems with the EE app pairing to the BT Smarthub2, BT customers have found that using the MyBT app still works for connecting and controlling the hub, and believe that EE are working on the EE app to get the fix in place. Will copy the OP link below for you.

@Archwayanimal Just hope it works for you, wont know till you try, appears to be all account related but who knows. Good luck with it.👍

@Archwayanimal Just had a reply from EE regarding the BT Smarthub2, and as part of the transition from BT - EE then your MyBT app will eventually close down and you will not be able to control the router, the EE app will be the control of the BT Smarthub2, and there is a few postings of doing so/or not and issues with the full control etc, this may be due to your recent move were its not all gelled in place yet so just giving you the heads up.🤞

I was migrated back to an EE package but kept my BT hub earlier this year. I have since had to make a new EE app account which I can see my bills for the first time in 3-4 months the internet is working fine but I cannot set any controls on my hub and the BT app is no longer available as the account it with EE...It just stays on the pairing screen with no movement. any suggestions?

@hthom24 Which BT hub do you have, and have you tried pairing with a laptop/pc instead of using your phone/app?
When the BT account is finally done, believe that your previous bills is all that will be available to be viewed.

It is the BT Smart Hub 2. I had all the control access when my account was with BT but since reverting to EE as the cost was reduced all that functionality has gone. I have tried pairing it with the app on my phone and a laptop...the app is the only way of controlling the WIFI (parental controls) the actual EE webpage doesn't have that capability, or so I have found

@hthom24 You are correct, the EE app is to control the BT Smarthub2, whenever they, that is EE get it working, what is the version that you have, android or ios, last update was 29th Aug and now at 5.45.0 i believe.
