Cannot load Hub management Home after running for a few days, the only way out is to restart! This is not acceptable.

@freddy2004  Never had to restart mine to access it again.    Have you tried switching off for 30+ seconds then restarting and then trying it again few day later ?

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Restarting it does help. Looks like I have to a factory reset.

Shhhh..t! I just have to manually enter about 60 lines of port forward rules, as it refuses to accept port ranges.

What a piece of crap!

Sorry, I meant restarting does NOT help!

@freddy2004 : Don't Factory Reset it! Just refresh that page. It usually clears within 1 or 2 goes. It's just down to the slowness of the router's GUI.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP

I tried all these: waiting more than 10 minutes after hitting OK and power off the router.  It never managed to get out of a dead loop to show me the glorious EE logo forever.

I'm giving up on this crap router. I wasted almost two whole days to figure it doesn't accept ranges on port forward. I ended up manually entering almost 60 lines of single port rules. I don't want to do this again and I'm almost certain this is not the last problem  I will encounter. I've gone back to my old BT router.

There's no facility with the hub to back up the settings.

@freddy2004 You would be better to have a look see on the Status page to confirm that the router has upgraded to the latest FW, was a very common issue when trying to browse with earlier FW versions getting the chop error. http://192.168.1.254 to get to the hub manager.

Current for the EE Smarthub+ is

Firmware version: r1.35.0-R-1138091-PROD-83002 and the gui is at App version: 1.13.1.

Thank you for the suggestion. I checked the FW version after a hard reset, it is the latest. The chop error and then the dead loop at the logo page may well be due to the upgrade process not finished cleanly. There is no way I can tell which version of FW it was running before. I agree that the chop error has not come up that much now.

@freddy2004 At least you have managed to see you are on the latest, with NO backup/restore feature for any part of the router, and as you say issues with your Port Fwd rules etc, the EE Smarthub+ is not smart in any way whatsoever, Your BT router may be street's ahead on features, only you can tell that fact.👍
