I have just been 'upgraded' to a new Samrt Hub Plus. My phone will connect but my rather ancient laptop will not. It is a Toshiba Satellite running Windows 7. I have reverted to my old hub. It was suggested I change the WPA setting on the hub but I have no idea what that is or how to do it.

That's an old PC & has a lesser WiFi then the router.
I think you'll find the router is set to WiFi-6 and WPA3 by default. Your device mayn't cope with that. Change the router settings down to WiFi-5 and/or WPA2 under Advanced > Wireless Settings..

In the router. Login to your EE SH/SR at http://192.168.1.254 with the admin password on the bottom of the slider label on the back of the router. Then go to the Advanced > Advanced WiFi page.
