Adding military discount

Hello, I have just joined EE broadband and was told by the sells person that I spoke to, that to get my 20 I need to have the internet set up at home first before I ring back and apply the military discount. I waited and just phone and then got told to a third party app and get a code then apply. I have done this and it seems I can only apply if I buy online now. This is not what I was told and will cancel if this is the case as I have only joined this week.

@chrishoughton90  You have 30 days from starting the contract to have the discount applied if it’s not applied at the time of taking out the contract and to do that you call customer services to have it applied.     You just need to give customer services the code to have the discount applied. 

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

I have just rang and they told me I cannot apply the discount to this deal as I order over the phone and it's the best they can do. I have asked them to listen to the call where it was clearly started what I would be getting as a monthly fee once applied. Not great as I have just moved back to the UK and looking to be a long term customer. The deal was 34.99 for fibre 500 then my discount should take it to around 28.00. they said it cannot be done. I have asked them to listen to the sales call, I hope after listening to the call they honour what was agreed on the phone.
