@cultavix
Yes eventually - after raising a complaint they moved me back to the old one that allows three smart benefits so im now back having Apple Music, BT Sport and Roam Abroad. Note the new iPhone plans do not come with ANY additional benefits (i.e BT Sport) - you get what is bundled and that’s it. The wording on the websites and even this original post are very misleading.

I wish we could swap the roam abroad pass. I have no plans to go abroad so this would have been a good one to swap for something I would use!

Thanks for the feedback @Simon1231e

This has been very misleading. I was sold Full Works upgrade on basis of it had everything - Apple One (implied I could upgrade to Premium) and choose smart benefits I previously had. As I couldn’t select benefits, I contacted EE Chat, spoke to someone on the phone, put through to Tech Support and then referred back to the Store. ALL of them were under the impression you could select benefits. That’s on top of what Leanne was advising on this thread.
Spent a huge amount of time trying to get to the bottom of it and nobody knowing the product. Outcome is to wind back to my old plan as I already have Apple One Premium for family use so EE deal no use whatsoever. Very poor.

Hi @JonnyDW

Thanks for coming here.

Was the plan changed to the Full Works Plan for iPhone?

If you were unable to select smart benefits, the team will be able to look into this for you and raise a support ticket if needed.

@Leanne_T I think this is the point that is being severely mis-communicated and mis-understood by EE staff.  It appears that with the full works plan for iPhone there are NO smart benefits.  Since EE have decided that all iPhone users want Apple One + Roam Pass instead of the previous flexibility of choosing three smart benefits as they wanted.  When you are on the Full Works for iPhone plan, there is literally 0 smart benefits you can choose - despite what sales agents, yourselves, and even this original press release appear to suggest.

Exactly @thecork ! Everybody is still saying you can select benefits. You can’t.

@Leanne_T  yes it’s the full works for iPhone plan. I’ve already been in touch with the Team - spent hours with chat, call centre and store staff. You need to get this sorted as a retailer. Please don’t keep repeating the same lines. It’s very poor.

Hi there @JonnyDW @thecork

I am very sorry for any confusion, Smart Benefits are available for Pay Monthly handset, selected SIM and tablet customers on an All Rounder Plan or Full Works Plan. Once you’ve chosen, you can change your Smart Benefit thereafter every 30 days. Choose your Smart Benefit at purchase, via My EE or by texting 150,

Leanne.

@Leanne_T Nice generic answer there Leanne.  What you are missing is that this post, which we are all commenting on, is not one of those "Selected" plans.  Yet the text clearly refers to having both Apple One and "You can choose three benefits from Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, BT Sport, Entertainment Data Pass, and the Roam Abroad Pass."  WHICH IS NOT CORRECT!! Three smart benefits is only available on NON iPhone Full Works Plans, with iPhone, it is not available.  So why does this post, and your sales team, seem to think it is!

I will certainly feed this back @thecork and will update the post on this thread to confirm the correct information.

I am very sorry, BT Sport is not included within the Full works for iPhone plan.

Am I understanding this correctly, if I take an iPhone Full Works plan that is advertised as having 3 Smart Benefits, I don't actually get them, I just get Apple One?

thecork

@Trono You are correct, there is no iPhone plan that comes with 3 smart benefits any more, just the one that comes with Apple One + Roam Abroad.  I (and others) have escalated a complaint however and got put on the other Full Works plan (for non-iPhones) that does come with the 3 smart benefits.

@thecork oh wow, I was about to checkout on a new SIM Only deal, assuming Apple One would be one of the 3 and then I could pick 2 others. Will need to re-think. Very dishonest from EE.

@Trono Yup its absolutely ridiculous.  if you look at the shop and compare the iPhone deals the Samsung ones - the easiest way to see it is they are all identical apart from the "Unlimited" ones.  If you look on any Samsung Deal, it says "3 Smart Benefits" and on the iPhone Deals it says "Apple One + Roam Abroad" - apparently EE have decided people would prefer Apple Arcade and Apple TV because they are iPhone users, rather than Netflix, BT Sport, Xbox Game Pass etc - its honestly incredible they have moved to such inflexibility for iPhone users and pitching it as a great deal

@thecork Hi. You mentioned that you had been put on the non iPhone plan through a complaint. How did you complain and escalate? I've raised it through 150, chat, tech support, call to the Store Manager and a visit to the store! Still trying to resolve. Thanks.

@JonnyDW Mine was finally done through chat.  I made it clear that during my upgrade I was promised I would have access to the three smart benefits just like my old contract and they moved it over once they had escalated it to a supervisor.
