wifi working but iphone 8 plus says 4g

got a new phone delivered yesterday 

wifi on 

wifes phone working on wifi 

mine says 4g 

i've turned the phone off and on 

ive turned wifi off and back on again 

any ideas please ?

Is your phone correctly paired with your WiFi router?

Try turning the "Airplane" mode on-off.

If you have "Wi-Fi Calling" in "Settings" on then, "Wi-Fi Calling" will automatically come into use if you your signal degrades or drops.
