Upgrade charges

Hi I’m due up grade as of now but my data etc runs from 4th of every month if I don’t want to get stung for extra charges is it best to upgrade on the 4th of June?

@Goerge2070   You pay for the time you have had that new contract for.  Your not stung it’s what you owe for the time you had.

@Goerge2070  You’ll not be stung for extra charges. You’ll only be billed for what your new tariff is to your billing date and if it’s cheaper than you have now you’ll get a refund.

@Chris_B  I’ve been stung before as didn’t realise that if I upgrade before my billing day that they charge you for the days prior or something like that. So if my billing day is the 4th and I up grade on that day, no extra charges will apply unless my new phone is higher or lower than my existing one?
