Hi I went for a run whilst away in Netherlands. I left my phone behind as my watch is cellular version. I opened Spotify on watch, selected play on Apple Watch and Icon changed to watch symbol. However a message came up saying something went wrong. The only reason I can think of is cellular watch data does not allow roaming?
any ideas
thanks

Hi there @Cleary1
Thanks for coming to the community.
I am sorry, roaming is not available on the Apple Watch Personal Paired plan. However, you’ll still be able to use most of the features if it’s connected to your phone via Bluetooth.
Thanks 🙂
Leanne.

Hi Leanne
thanks for the response. I was hoping to avoid having to bring my 12pro max out running with me now Spotify allow streaming from cellular watch. I understand that’s only option when I’m the uk tho. Such a shame as you wait so long for this feature to come and they don’t quite get it right. I work predominantly in Europe.
cheers
paul

I assume offline mode would be my saved songs in library? Either way nothing worked just kept saying something went wrong. I should add my watch is updated and running most current software version.

Thanks @Cleary1
In this case you would need to be connected to the iPhone when you are abroad, I just wanted to see if there was a way this would work for you.
Thanks.
Leanne.
