I'm having issues setting up an EE Smart Hub (the newer white router came after the Bright Box 2) in DSM 6 on a Synology NAS? I'm getting an issue when setting up router with it not getting past network environment check (on the NAS) saying that there are two or more routers on the network and then that no UPnP is found though I've set the router to have UPnP on. It suggests setting the router to Bridge Mode but I can't find anywhere that I can do that with this router (I don't think that's possible) and the router isn't listed on the next page on the NAS for manual setup.
I think if I can get past the issue of the NAS not wanting two routers on the network then UPnP should be able to sort the rest. I do have a network booster on the network which has a different SSID but is connected to the EE Smart Hub to extend range. I can't do without this as it is the only way to maintain access to my solar set up as the range is too far for the SH. I appreciate this is query is mostly about Synology but figure that it's quite a popular brand and that there might have been some other people using the Smart Hub and a Synology NAS who have some shared experience.
Thanks for reading.

@Mustrum I've set up QuickConnect which is working fine but was following a series of YouTube videos and got to this (How to setup a Synology NAS (DSM 6) - Part 34: Configuring a NAS for External Access ) which is where my NAS doesn't get through the 'network environment check'. Like I said somewhere above I'm not a power user... far from it! but I think it might be handy to have this accessible externally through a page which I can have a trusted SSL on for some other stuff. I just can't work out why I'm getting this error which seems to be related to something with my BB setup

@XRaySpeX I guess so, the downside to that is I don't really know what I'm doing with port forwarding as I've never done it before. The upside is that I'll learn about port forwarding!

May we see the actual error msg?

OK, so in between a few other things, I have set up quick Connect on my NAS and think I can see what is happening - that said I suspect the Synology Forum/Support will know more than me!
So I suspect you get the same error message, which actually the two routers is a bit of a red herring:
Going into the router tab and trying to find a router reveals a list of very old routers - BT Hub 2 being the most up to date one from BT, no modern Netgear and so on.
So not surprised it can't talk to the later EE Hubs. Not sure I want to go any further and open up my system to the outside world without me knowing what I am doing - but hope this helped.

A quick further update, I thought my router had UPnP enabled, turned out it wasn't, so after enabling it, I still get the same error message above, but now when pressing next it shows my router - a Netgear D7000 - I have not tried with my EE Hub.

@Mustrum Thanks. This is exactly what I'm getting. So the who 'two or more routers' thing is possibly because it's an old system? I wonder if upgrading to DSM 7 might fix it then? I tried the Facebook group which is fairly active but not getting any bites which makes me think they don't know the answer as they're quite opinionated when they do! I hadn't thought to head to the Synology forum but have dipped in there from searches but perhaps I'm just not searching for the right thing. Thanks for all your help. I don't think this one is going to get cracked though is it? I can still access through QuickConnect and I suppose I can set up manual port forwarding like @XRaySpeX has said if I really need to.

@Snailtones I am on DSM 7 with a fairly new NAS, D720 and still get the two router message. Quick Connect works for me too, so not much else I need.
I do know someone with a bigger Synology who does a lot more than I do with it, and who gave me a top tip about shucking WD portable drives which were much cheaper last year - and see what he knows!
