Samasung Watch 4g

I am looking to buy a Samsung watch 4g and was wondering about linking it to my contract. I am very confused, as I am reading a lot saying all I need is a virtual sim that will link it to my current contract, and simply be an extension if it, but reading the forums, it seems that I need to pay for a separate contract?!? Which is it?

I am not planning to buy the watch through EE, as it is cheaper elsewhere, I just want to connect it.

@BigViking   To have data on a cellular watch you need to pay a contract for that. If you get the watch elsewhere it’ll cost you £7 per month on a rolling 30 day tariff.  Your calls and texts on the watch come from your phone contact but the data doesn’t.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Thanks for that. The whole thing sounds like a rip off to me. Why can calls & data come from my current contract, but not data?

Anyway, Bluetooth only watch it is, then.
