New Upgrade

Hi got an upgrade to a newer iPhone I was told I could keep my old number. Phone arrived with new Sim do I put my old sim in new phone or use the new one? When I log in to my account it still shows my old phone?

Use your old SIM if it fits. The new one is sent in case it doesn't.
