We've done motorhoming 25 years, lived in it full time for 8 years and in that time travelled a lot of local Europe , France, Germany, Switzerland, Italy. Anybody else been doing this or thinking of doing it. Don't delay if you are, you don't know what tomorrow brings.

This sounds amazing and such a great way to explore @Mickarchie
Where are you thinking of visiting first when you can?

You better believe it. Thousands of photos.lots of memories, not for Polly though, so put them into videos so she can revisit places.

Bet you can't wait @Mickarchie
I'm scared of flying so this could be the perfect way to travel 🙂

With motorhoming you have to book ahead in England because wildcamping is frowned on. but not too far ahead unless it's a very busy site. In France all you book is the ferry across and the drive, if you take a Motorhome Aires book with you, (always found the French ones gave you more aires than the British ones )you will be able to plan ahead where you would like to stop without any booking. You just turn up and park, mostly free, perhaps pay a couple of euros for water. There are hundreds of aires everywhere and always in the nicest part of town. If you can't find an aire you can always wildcamp. Well this was how it was when we were last there.

Not sure really. We are a bit more limited because of Polly being poorly so it now has to be Britain, shorter trips. We used to do 5 month trips to Europe and did approx 10,000 miles per trip. Been to Venice, Up Jungfraujoch, the highest rail station in Europe, in Switzerland. 😎😍 Miss it all but got the photos.
