Iphone 12 pro max

So I looked into upgrading my phone to a iPhone 12 pro max and was told to do it in store as it'll arrive quicker than online.  Upon doing this I've been informed it'll take 28 days to arrive and i had to pay a £25 pre order deposit.  Why does the website say they have my model in stock and it'll be dispatched with a day online but now have to wait 28 days in store.  Surely if they're in stock online one can be sent to the store and if they don't have them then Surely it's false advertisement.

@scouseguy80  store stock is not the same as online stock.  Stores have there own allocation and this can not be taken from online stock.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Well they need to tell their store staff to not give false information to customers.  As it probably would have been quicker ordering online.
