I just tried to upgrade my sim only contract to a new pay monthly contract for the iPhone 12 pro max and after lots of stress, I finally managed to check out and got a confirmation email and order number. However, nothing has changed on my account and it still says I can upgrade, so I'm wondering if my order even went through?
Thanks in advance

In exactly the same position. Have the confirmation number that begins xko - which if I remember from previous years, doesn't actually mean the order has been processed yet.

Due to this being a pre-order, nothing will show on your account until your new phone has been scanned at the warehouse and allocated to your account, this would be the same if you'd upgraded over the phone. I've even had it where I've upgraded in store and the account doesn't update until the following day.

Did they take the upfront payment from you? Nothing has been taken from my account yet which seems even weirder

I didn't have to pay one as I was upgrading, from what I remember, they don't take the upfront payment immediately, they do a card check to make sure the card is active, then take the upfront payment upon dispatch.

So they didn't originally take an upfront payment but then I ended up calling because I wasn't happy with the plan I chose, and this time they did take a £6.98 delivery charge and that HAS now been taken from my account. I also got a text with a link that shows "Your Pre-Order is confirmed" now.
So I would say if you don't get a text by the end of the day, maybe ring them?

I really don't agree with that delivery charge that they make you pay when you buy it over the phone.
I don't think you'll get a text message until it's due to be dispatched now, I wouldn't bother calling them again, if you've got an email confirming everything, that should be enough.
