How do I move my EE e-sim to a new Apple iPhone?

Hi,

My company has rsigned a new mobile deal and I'm about to get a new iPhone.  Sitting along side my company O2 account is my personal EE account on an e-sim.  How do I move that e-sim to my new phone when it arrives?

Many thanks,

Stuart.

@stuartgoble  Is that new iPhone unlocked ?  Just because it can have 2 numbers on it doesn’t means it’ll take two different networks ( yet )

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Unsure at the moment, but given I'm replicating what I have today, from the same reseller/provider, there's nothing to suggest the handset will be locked to O2.

@stuartgoble personally I would move the O2 number onto the eSim and get a physical Sim for the EE number.    If ever you need to move the number back to your own device it’s just a case of swapping the sim back.

Unfortunately, that's not an option.  I already have the e-sim for EE in my current iPhone and e-sim's aren't an available option on the plan the company is going with.  So I'm kind of stuck if I can't move my e-sim to the new phone.

@stuartgoble   You can move your EE number, you just need to have the my EE app on your new device login to the app and request a eSim.  Personally I wouldn’t do because it’s a work device and your putting your personal number on the eSim of this device but that’s just me.

you also might want to double check with your company before you do this and that they are ok with you doing this.  And that the device is unlocked.

I have just done this yesterday as I bought a new iPhone and have an eSIM in my current phone.

Popped into an EE Shop [which was a franchise] explained I needed a replacement eSIM, they processed it there and then, my current phone eSIM was deactivated straight away and on my new phone just followed the steps for adding a Data Plan under the mobile setting, scanned the QR code, went to the Phone setting and updated my number and it all linked through...all done and up and working in 5 mins and no additional costs like you have to pay if doing it via the app or calling
