Why does EE keep adding ee.co.uk to my phone’s Safari bookmarks? How do I stop it happening?
If I delete the bookmark it comes back a few days later.
Only happens on my iPhone and not my iPad or computer and they sync my bookmarks too.

Hi @Pagemakers.
Does this happen with any other websites, or just EE?
Have you got the EE website saved as a favourite?

Only ever happens with EE and only ever happens on my phone and no other device.
It is definitely being placed there by my carrier somehow.
Here is another forum discussing the problem about returning bookmarks re-appearing from their carrier.

@Pagemakers It’s not EE doing this is your iCloud account. You need to delete the book mark then sign out of your Apple account restart the device then sign back in to your Apple account you might need to sign out of your Apple account on all your devices to fully purge it from your Apple account.

Done that a million times and still the bookmark comes back. The fact it ONLY appears on my iPhone (something with a SIM card in) really does make me think it’s EE. When iCloud syncs it does NOT sync this bookmark.
I had a period of using an eSim and the bookmark does not re-appear. Then in the last 2-3 months I’ve moved back to a physical sim. Within a day of using a physical sim the bookmark appeared and constantly returns every time I delete it.

Hi, did you get it resolved? So annoying.
I’ve tried everything without success.

Nope. Happens all the time on my phone but no other device that doesn’t have an EE SIM card. It’s 100% something that EE do that we have zero control over.
Yes it’s absolutely infuriating.

Post back in a few days. It will be back. 100%
It’s got nothing to do with iCloud because it would sync to your Pc and iPad. It doesn’t. Only your phone because it’s only your phone that has a SIM card.
When it reappears try to edit it. It’s different to any other bookmark and can’t be edited.
It’s a marketing thing that you have absolutely no control over. Should be illegal.
