Data gifting whilst on deployed ops

Prior to me deploying to the Falklands with the RAF, I asked if my account could be suspended which I was informed it could not but there wouldn't be any issue in transferring my data to my wife as we normally share the data due to her sim only deal coming with 1.5gb data.

For the last 2 month's this has not been an issue until today when our accounts are credited with the data. I should have 200gb but my account is showing zero.

Why is this?

I have been informed that both phones need to be in the UK but this has not been the case for 2 months and I am still paying for the contract so I should have access to the data regardless of I am able to use it myself.

Further guidance is required please as I will not be paying for something that I have no access to.

When roaming outside the EE, once your allowances are renewed on your billing date you may no longer gift data until you get back to UK as your allowance is not available where you are.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP

Understood but why have I been able to do this for the last 2 month's and why was this not explained to me when I called ee stating I was leaving the UK for 4 months.

Surely if I pay for a service I should receive it regardless of where in the world I am.

Can't explain 2nd month; 1st month you probably started in UK.

Frustrating that this wasn't relayed when I informed that I was leaving the UK until October and that i would still be able to transfer my data to.my wife
