So, for nearly two years I have had solid 4G, sometimes into the high teens Mbs - for the last of those years through an EE router (placed in the exact same location). A few weeks ago this suddenly dropped to, usually, 3G+ and barely 2 Mbs at that -with a 0.2 upload. On contacting EE, while very pleasant to talk to, all they could find to say was that I should never have been able to get a signal in the first place. That may be true, but I did. And, my phone, also EE, sitting right beside the router, picks up 4G with anything between 6 Mbs and 10 Mbs - something totally unexplained and disregarded by the advisor.
Do EE routers pack in? Anyone else with a similar issue? I have ordered a Huawei router on a recommendation and although I will consider an external aerial I would prefer not.
Something has changed - if anyone can explain what I would love to understand...

Hi @Loki2
If an EE phone next to the router is getting a 4G signal, then all things being equal (including antenna placement) the router should, too.
There are some circumstances where particular devices will get a 4G signal that others won't, but this isn't one of them.

Thanks @bristolian - my thinking too, good to know it's not just me!
