Apple Watch

Hi,

bit of a long winded one, I want to buy an Apple Watch for my girlfriend for her birthday but we pay our contracts seperately. If I buy the watch on my account can she still use it with her phone (she is also on EE)

thanks

Hi @Ew6493

Welcome to the community.

You can get an Apple Watch on contract with us on two types of plans; Paired and unpaired.

Unpaired means it has its own plan and number, which you would just give to your girlfriend.

Paired means that the user's (your girlfriend's) phone allowances and telephone number would be used on the Apple Watch.

If you buy a paired plan and give her the phone, and she wants to use the phone with 4G, she would have to set up a standalone plan for £7 per month which would give her unlimited calls and texts as well as 10GB of data just for the watch.

She could just pair it and use it in Bluetooth mode though, which is no extra cost. The calls and data will only work when within Bluetooth range of her iPhone.
