Hi
Bought 4g ee Home router 5 days ago and when opened it up there was no sim inside but thought maybe it's already in so I set it up and have problems straight away. turn on power blue light, wifi blue light, lan no light, network red light, signal no light, looked up the problem and no answers to be found or fixes. someone says somewhere that you need to unlock your account but there is no explanation that comes with the router to say do that. so how are you meant to know. obviously, I checked the sim slot and nothings in there. So when I paid for the plan I bought (see below)

the router i bought doesnt come with the sim that is bought with it, am i meant to order the same sim contract seperatly? but if I don't need the sim how do i set up the wifi when I've done everything the setup guide says?

You need the SIM to run the MBB router on the EE mobile network. It should have come with 1 but separately enclosed. Maybe they are posting it separately but I wouldn't have thought so.
Your Plan is on the SIM and that's what you are paying £50 per month for.
You don't need to set up your MyEE account just to use the router but mainly to see your bills.
