Hi - I upgraded to an iPhone 16 Pro Max and when transferring my old iPhone to the new one it got overheated and is now stuck in a loop where I am unable to swipe up. I have a virtual Sim so whilst the phone number/esim has transferred over to the new phone, I can’t open my phone and use it. So without a phone and clearly have a new faulty one. Not sure how best to fix this as have tried the hard reset a few times now. Is this a problem that others have faced? The phone is so hot to touch that I’m nervous it’s going to burn and explode

@Chadjo76 Is the device off ? If it’s hot and switched off allow it to cool down. Do not try and start it up it’s the battery that’s hot as it’s being drained. Only once it’s cool try and reboot the device. If it’s on press and hold ether volume button and the power switch for 30s the slide to turn off should come up. Switch it off
It’s not faulty it’s trying to update the OS and also deal with everything you’re transferring over to the new device.
