Hi, my contract for my Apple Watch is due to run out shortly. due to the watch being in great condition still, I was hoping to only do a sim-only upgrade rather than change devices. however, every time I try to do this online it is not an option and it wants me to pay £40 for a new watch.

how can I switch my Apple Watch plan to a sim-only contract for this device?

@l-4  You need to call customer service and give notice to terminate the current watch contract,  once that’s finished you can setup a sim only contract via the watch app,   It’s £7 per month and it’s a 30 day rolling contract you’ll get 10Gb of data just for the watch.   You can not do this online it’s only via the watch app.
