Sky to EE.. can't send messages to certain people..

Hi,

We have just added a SIM for our daughter to our EE account.

She has moved over from Sky and is using an iPhone 13 mini which is unlocked and she did not request to keep her number.

She can use mobile data and she can send an SMS to me, I'm on EE using a Pixel, but she can't send SMS to her dad, EE and Samsung.

She can't send SMS to a few different people on different networks.

She can make and receive phone calls.

iMessage is working fine.

We have spoken to EE who ran diagnostics and said it must be her phone.

If she puts her Sky SIM back in she can send SMS, we tried her EE SIM in another iPhone (12) and could send SMS and in Pixel 8 Pro and it could send SMS.

So, it does seem to be the phone but it's weird that with her Sky SIM she can send SMS but not with EE.

We have just done a factory reset as advised by EE but it still won't send SMS.

She has had the SIM less than 24 hours and came over from Sky with a PAC code.

 

Any advice? 

The deal is so much better on EE, but she's put her Sky SIM back in and doesn't want to use the EE one, I'd like to see if anyone has an idea of how to fix this.

If this is a problem sending any & every SMS, check the message service centre is set to +44 7958 879879

Do the SMS your daughter can't send, show as "sent" on her phone? Or do they fail on sending?

Is there any consistency that the problematic recipients are Android users or Apple users?
