Hi
my mobile was in my ex wife’s name, and up to now had been paid every month to her. Now relationship is turned very sour, she has reported my mobile lost/stolen when she knows I still have it. I can’t speak to ee about it as account in her name. So I have a iPhone se 2022 sitting useless. What can I do? If anything? And yep, don’t have an mobile that your ex controls 🙈

That’s awful…even if I can prove it’s not lost or stolen?

Legal responsibility lies with the account holder - irrespective of who pays the bills.
Your situation is problematic, but the solution lies with the account holder, and your ex-wife is within her rights to do whatever she chooses with a phone for which she is legally responsible.

@GH50 She might have had it blacklisted but it’s her who is responsible for the contract and the monthly bill that this has with it. Basically she still has to pay for that contract not you as it’s in her name. You can always get a contract in your own name unfortunately you’ll also have to have a new number as that number belongs to her. She’s done herself no favours in do this.
