Owning your handset

Does anyone know how long it takes before you actually own the handset? I can’t afford my phone bill anymore and want to leave my contract but don’t know if I can take my handset and phone number with me.

You own the handset after 6 months but you still need to pay off the contract for it.

If you intend to move to another network taking your existing no. with you, get your PAC from EE & give it to your new provider. If you are still within your min term you will be liable to pay early termination fees for the rest of the term. It will basically be months left x monthly charge - 20%.
