Does WIFI COVERAGE BOOST work with an iPad?

Hi

If I have a mobile data plan that includes WIFI COVERAGE BOOST (they all seem to?) 

can I log in to (BT) EE wifi hotspot on an iPad, or is the service restricted to the handset the SIM is in? 

Basically, do you get a login you can use anywhere with any device or not?

You need to have an EE SIM in a device to make use of WiFi Coverage Boost.
