Cost of repair IPhone 15 screen

MJ34

I dropped my IPhone 15 and it smashed the screen.  I currently owe about £270 on a flex payment agreement. I took the phone to an EE shop and they wanted almost £700 up front to repair the screen and £150 deposit on a temporary phone.  I walked out of the shop and went to the Apple Store who offered to replace the screen for £280.  What the hell is going on EE - I have been with EE forever (and Orange before).  Treating people like this is outrageous.

Thanks for getting back to me @MJ34.

The page @bristolian has provided shows a price guide to give an idea of costs for screen repairs. We don't have access to your account here in the community, so we can't see details of what was discussed in-store.

If you'd like someone to look into this, and log a case against your account, you can do that here on our Make a complaint page. That way a dedicated team will look into it and contact you to discuss further.

The iPhone 15 is listed as £280 for a screen repair on EE's website - https://ee.co.uk/local-repairs

Scroll down to repairs pricelist > Apple > mainscreen repair.

Hi @MJ34.

Thanks for coming to the community.

Did the team in store mention if there were any other issues picked up when the phone was checked that might've been included in the cost of the repair?

Debbie

No, they didn’t even look at the phone. They could see my iwatch was still working so it was only a screen issue.
