Apple watch series 7 wont connect to mobile data plan get code 003

Hi All,

I have had several apple watches, replaced my last one with a series 7 today.

Did the usual thing, disabled WiFi then unpaired old watch before pairing the new watch restoring from a backup etc.

All went well but it will not connect to the mobile data - tells me to call EE and quote error 003.

I did this and response was 'never heard of that before' - well we know where this is going already dont we.

So after being transferred to someone else who alos had no idea what to do I was told to carry out all updates, these were taking an age so I was told that I would be sent a text with information to complete the set up, and a call back tomorrow.

Needless to say, no text arrived and my apple watch is still practically useless.

 

So if anyone from EE is out there, how the hell do I connect my watch?????

And where can I see my apple watch data plan on my account?????

AN what about if I already have an EE watch plan?

I unpaired my last watch, paired new one (series 7) for myself, used last watch back up but no way will it connect to my EE data plan i get a code 003 and telling me to call EE.

No one at EE knows what this is or how to fix it.

 

Watch and phone (xsMax) are all up to date all done on cellular data.

Dont bother mate, go to another provider EE have no idea at all

I just had the same problem, called 150 spoken to tec support, my problem was they needed to update my EID number from my new watch onto the existing watch sim in my contract all now working.
