Apple msg: future MacOS version will not support Intel-based Norton Safe Web

JonathanI

Hi.

I received a message on my MacBook Air this morning saying that a forthcoming version of MacOS would not support apps written for Intel (Rosetta software going out of support) so a new Apple specific version would be needed.

So I contacted Norton support to ask if there was a new or different version of Norton Safe Web available for MacOS users and got nowhere at all.

Please let me know if you know anything more .... perhaps it's just a waiting game.

Hi @JonathanI,

Thanks for visiting the EE Community

We don't have any additional information on this at the moment or how it may effect EE Cyber Security/Norton support on Mac devices. From what I understand its scheduled for MacOS28 so still a year or so away. So I think like you say at the moment its a waiting game, if there is any changes they will be announced closer to the time.
