Thinkphone Dual SIM

Hi,

I am a SIM only business customer at the moment as I use an unlocked Motorola handset, sourced elsewhere, with an EE and an O2 SIM as it gives me good coverage in rural areas when one or other network is not working.

My questions are does the Motorola Thinkphone available from EE have a dual SIM functionality and is the handset locked only to EE?

Thanks!

No new devices are locked to networks these days.

Is the Motorola Thinkphone available from EE? I don't see it.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply, this is a link to the Thinkphone on the EE Business website,

https://business.ee.co.uk/ee-upgrade/MOTOROLA-THINKPHONE?planLength=36+Months&productId=10089&insura...

Its a shame it locked exclusively to EE because its the perfect replacement for my current Motorola handset and I would be using it mostly with an EE SIM.

Ah, as a consumer I only look at the consumer site. I can't even see that link as I'm not upgrading; I might be able if I were coming in as a new cust.

Why should it be locked to EE? Phones sold today are not locked.

Hi @acompletetool,

It is the dual SIM model we're stocking and @XRaySpeX is correct is saying the phone will be unlocked for all networks.

Hope this helps. 🙂

James

I am so sorry as I misread your first response about new phones NOT being
locked to networks these days and other answers have really helped me
decide on if to go ahead on getting one from EE.
I will be going ahead with the upgrade as its a bargain!

Hi James,

I asked about the Thinkphone but it is apparently sold out with no more due in stock ☹️
