Samsung Tab 6 screen failure

Hi Have a Galaxy Tab s6 ( not Lite) with a screen that doesnt function - as best I can tell the tablet turns on I get haptic feedback on contact and vibrations when I plug it in but have no way of knowing if it still properly funtioning and whether worth fixing - the screen is black at all times and ther is no visible damage to it... any suggestions?

Could you try the steps in the Blank or black display on a Samsung phone or tablet Help page to see if this helps? 

If the screen doesn't come back after trying this, how long have you had the tablet?

Hi Leanne, I've had the device quite a while.
Those steps don't work unfortunately.
