SIM 1 not allowed Sony

I'm currently traveling and I'm in Australia. I got the roaming pass and everything has been working fine. Now I have got a message saying SIM 1 not allowed and I am unable to call or go on the internet other than WiFi.  I can't phone EE and it won't let me call over WiFi. I've restarted, cleaned the SIM, put on aeroplane mode. I am away for another 2 weeks... Any suggestions?

Does your phone show a connection to any Australian networks?

It did but now it won't show any. I think it's a sim issue.

Are the symptoms the same if you put your SIM in the second slot?

Did that work?

I have the same issue

Hi there @Leononeill

Welcome to the community 🙂

Are you able to try removing the SIM card and trying the second SIM card slot to see if you get signal?

How long ago did you last use the SIM card? Are you in the UK?

Thanks.

Leanne.

The SIM doesn't seem to fit in the other (SD card) slot.
I'm in Australia - the SIM was working until I arrived (worked in the
Singapore airport)

The SIM doesn't seem to fit in the other slot for SD card.

I'm currently in Australia, the SIM was working fine until I arrived. It was working in the UK and Singapore airport.

Thanks for coming back to me @Leononeill

If you try and manually search for another network in the device settings, do you have any available? If you do, can you try connecting to one to see if the same message shows?

If no networks show, do you have another phone with you that you could possibly try the SIM card in to see if this message follows the SIM card?

Thanks 🙂

Leanne.

I have several other networks showing (both 5g and 4 g) but when selected I get the additional message "No service - selected network unavailable" along with the original "SIM 1 not allowed"
