Problem with Samsung Galaxy J3 Mobile Phone

Good Morning

Keith Pates here, earlier I wanted to type something on my phone which has been working ok for ages apart from storage issues, last night however it would not bring up the keyboard like it usually does, so no idea why I have checked all settings etc. but it seems like it is locked up just clicks when you try to type, can it be fixed? if so what sort of price would I be looking at? I don't get universal credit untill the 11th though if I know then I can come and see you once money goes in the bank

@keithcp2   This is a public forum not customer services and it’s not a place to book a time for a shop visit. 

 

Have you just tried switching it off/on again?  

 Have you tried doing a factory reset on the device?    
  Have a look at THIS 

Make sure you backup the device first or you’ll loose everything on the device.

I'm sorry to hear your phone's keyboard isn't working, that must be very frustrating!

 

It sounds like a software issue, rather than something that would require a repair. As @Chris_B mentioned, it's worth trying a restart to see if that resolves the issue before we try anything else.

 

Please let us know if turning your phone off, then on again helps.

I have already tried that loads of times, and it did not do anything, when
you click to type something in a text or email or something the keyboard
automatically comes up, but it is not doing that now, I know it is an old
phone but being on Universal Credit and don't get paid until 11th, I can't
get nothing done until I know how much it will cost

No that won't do anything, on the US page it says some items which are not
even on the phone, I clicked UK and that does not tell me anything

When you said you tried resetting your device, did you mean that you had backed up your information and then restored it completely to factory settings?

No I have not done that I Will need all on the Phone to be backed up
someway, I do have an SD Card in the phone it has plenty of free space but
it won't do it for me for some reason, I think when I get my Universal
Credit on the 11th it might be a good idea to go and ask in the Nottingham
